About
Travers Scott Knight
After many years of medical practice, he has learned to never just accept the status quo. He has found that following the dogma of business as usual and “it has always been done this way” is intentionally stifling to creativity and improvement and is often (most often) proffered by those fearful of change and with a strong personal agenda. Knight has always and still does search for a better way and one in the best interests of us all.
Now, seeing the contemporary friction between the younger creative mindsets and those of sometimes older generations with personal power agendas, Knight has applied his forward thinking to a work of quasi-fiction dealing with projected climate disasters. His work deals with the promise/threat of artificial intelligence, technology, greed, romance and murder, all directed to averting human extinction. It suggests a mind-boggling question, to the reader: What would you do in this life and death situation?
Travers Knight has traveled widely in the US and in Europe. When traveling, he always asks locals about their opinions on such matters as healthcare, politics, fears and aspirations. While finding some diversity of opinion, the overwhelming feeling is that of political distrust and concern for our climate and planetary future. There is also the jaded sense of hopelessness that accompanies any discussion of solutions, though seems much less prevalent in some younger groups.
Knight has conceptualized a somewhat fictional solution to the problem, in an entertaining, educational manner, which would be great fun to immerse the reader in, were in not for the real world gravity of the situation.
